The Editor is where you can view and manage individual phrases and their translations for each project. It provides tools to review translation quality, approve or retranslate content, and apply filters to focus on specific phrase subsets.
Phrase List
Each row in the phrase list represents one translatable phrase in your source language, along with its translations into the selected target languages.
The table includes:
Checkboxes – Select one or more phrases for bulk actions (coming soon)
Source Phrase – The phrase in the source language
Languages – The languages the phrase is translated into
Translation – The generated translation for each language
TQI – The Translation Quality Index score (if available), with quick visual cues:
Green: High confidence, TQI above 0.98
Yellow: Medium confidence, TQI between
Red: Low confidence, TQI lower than
Dash (–): In case of no or manual translation.
Approve status/action
Filters
Filters make it easier to focus on phrases that need attention—such as low-quality or missing translations. Click the funnel icon at the top of the editor to reveal filter options that help narrow down the list of phrases:
Available filters:
Project – Show phrases from a specific prpject
Languages – Filter phrases by target language(s)
File – Show phrases from a specific file
TQI – Filter by quality score (high, medium, low, manual edits/no TQI)
Status – Filter by translation status (untranslated, translated, unapproved, approved)
TQI Analysis Panel
Clicking a TQI score opens the Translation Analysis panel on the right side of the screen.
This panel provides:
Current Translation – The latest AI-generated output
TQI Reasoning – A breakdown of the Translation Quality Index score into:
Translation consistency:
Measures similarity between translations generated by multiple LLMs, indicating alignment, context clarity, and manageable complexity.Structural integrity:
Verifies adherence to formatting, glossary use, and structural elements like HTML tags to ensure technical correctness.Semantic quality:
Assesses the translation's quality using the MQM framework, evaluating how closely it resembles human-level accuracy.
Issues Breakdown
Any identified issues are grouped under their respective categories (Structural Integrity, Semantic Quality). These issues help you pinpoint exactly where the translation might fall short and why the TQI score may be lower.
Actions
Approve – Accepts the current translation, marking it as complete and correct.
Retranslate – Requests a new AI-generated version of the translation if the current one is not satisfactory.
Use the TQI reasoning to understand why a translation was flagged and decide whether to approve or regenerate it.
Download Translations
At any time, you can download translations from this project by clicking the Download button in the top-right corner of the editor. If a project, file or language filter is a selected then you will download only the filtered phrases/translations.
